We're currently proceeding with the start up of our Social Foresrty Enterprise, which will take on up to 12 unemployed volunteers in rural Conwy per year, giving them training in woodland management and building up a portfolio of skills and experience to prepare for future employment. The enterprise involves providing a low cost woodland management service to public and private woodland owners in rural Conwy whos woodland is too small and/or inaccessible for commercial management or harvesting. The harvested wood will be turned into wood fuel for the local market in the form of dry, seasoned logs, kindlin, and wood pellets. This is a non-profit distributing venture and any proceeds will be returned into the community through projects, services, and job creation. ADEILAD CYMUNEDOL GOLYGFA GWYDYR COMMUNITY BUILDING

Golygfa Gwydyr's Community Building is now up and running :-) It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the kettle is always on! We'd like to shout out a big THANK YOU to all the volunteers and funders who made this possible. The building is open throughout the week and members of the community, as well as interesded visitors, are welcome to drop by anytime. We've a whole host of things going on here; the Job Club, StitchandBitch, Community Cinema, Celting Drumming workshops, Rainbow Women, Community Garden, Youth Committee, Film Club, fundraising Coffee mornings...and we host events on behalf of other organisations too. The building has a host of facilities including disabled access and WC, baby changing facilities, free Wi-Fi, projection equipment, meeting rooms, self-catering kitchen, and a cozy wood fuel stove.

Cafodd Golygfa Gwydyr ei dyfarnu GWEITHGARWCH DIWILLIANNOL GORAU gan Gyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy - am digwyddiad sy'n dangos ac yn hyrwyddo diwylliant Cymru ymysg pobl ifanc - yn seremoni'r Gwobrau Cymunedol Goreuon Conwy 2010, a chafodd ei gynnal yn Venue Cymru ar Dydd Mawrth 29ain o Fehefin.Cafodd y wobr ei chefnogi gan Goleg Llandillo Cymru ac oedd y cyntaf o'i fath i gael ei hel gan awrdurdod lleol yng Ngogledd Cymru. Dymunwn diolchi aelodau a chefnogwyr Golygfa Gwydyr. Yn enwedig, hoffwn diolch Theatr Cynefin - hebddynt hwy na fu'r Caerdroia yn bodoli.

Golygfa Gwydyr has been awarded the Pride of Conwy BEST CULTURAL ACTIVITY AWARD by Conwy County Borough Council at a ceremony held at Venue Cymru on Tuesday, 29th of June. The award was sponsored by Coleg Llandrillo Cymru and was the first of its kind to be hosted by a local authority in North Wales. Golygfa Gwydyr would like to thank all its members and supporters, and especially Theater Cynefin without whom the Caerdroia would not exist.
